I don’t now about you, but with raising five children on a Pastor’s salary, we had to pinch pennies where we could. That was not my main motivation for creating my simple activites.
I liked “repurposing” before it was a “thing”
I have always believed Toddlers enjoy playing with items that they see their parents handle (water bottles; paper cups; tissue boxes; ) And in this case, Milk Cartons!!!
MILK CARTON STACKABLE BLOCKS
Several 1/2 gallon size milk cartons (cleaned and dried)
Cut the pouring spout top from the cartons. Gently compress the top of one carton and insert it into the first carton. Bottoms of the cartons are now the ends of the block.
Add to the fun by decorating the block.
Wrap your child’s art work, cut to size, and taped well with clear packing tape around the block.
Print a favorite picture of your child or family members and wrap the block with it.
Use contact paper (shelf paper) to wrap the block (washable and durable, but you have to go to the store.
Stack and enjoy! They are durable; light weight (if you get my drift) and will last and last. When you are tired of them, no guilt to throw them away!!!
